My art expresses that which is close to my heart, my diverse passions, and what attracts my eye, spiking aesthetic interest! I work in the media which I feel best represents the image that I wish to create. I draw/paint my observations; my own original realistic/impressionistic designs in watercolor, pencil, pen, or pastel on paper. Acrylics are created on gallery wrapped canvas or canvas board. Mixed Media paintings are created using two or more mediums, and perhaps decorative items, i.e.: tissue paper, goldleaf, etc.

Growing up in the Indiana countryside, exploring the woods with my dog, & collecting shells from the creek cultivated my appreciation for nature and the land. I have enjoyed traveling, but strong Hoosier roots have drawn me back to my homestead. Home fosters the memories of youth; time spent with family; gardening, sewing, cooking, & camping. Those creative experiences enrich my desire to explore working in various types of media. I have studied with many art instructors over the years; and I continue to learn.
